Dear Creative
You know the ache in your heart to create something, make something, and have felt the winds of creativity take hold of your soul. You know the intense desire to birth a project, paint, write, create, sing, and dance. This letter is for you.
For years I have watched as many let it go, drop their dream, and put down their pen. They reach for an “adult” life and forget the curious kid who wants to run free. Losing this part of themselves and living a colorless life.
Let this not be you!
The world needs you to create, paint, sing, write, and share your soul with the world.
This is important too. We live in a world where creativity needs a box, a mission, and an aim… But to create for creativity's sake matters more.
Who are we to say creativity should be contained neatly in the constructs of an Instagram grid, and why are we getting trapped in creating for a follower count?
Your goal is to create and push your boundaries as an artist. To push it further than even you can imagine.
One day some kid might find a sketch you did or a poem you wrote on a napkin and wonder why this wasn’t turned into something amazing.
So whatever you do today…..make sure you take one small step towards your artistic dream.
